Photosynthesis is like saving money because photosynthesis traps
energy to later covert it to glucose, as a person saves money for later
  use.

Substrate is like a key, since a substrate binds together with an
enzyme, as a key to a lock.

Cellular Respiration is like photosynthesis working backwards
because while photosynthesis converts CO2
to glucose, cellular respiration converts glucose to CO2.

Aerobic Respiration is like the burning of food in air because
both are used to release energy out of oxygen.

Phloem is like a railroad system because it transports certain
things to other places, as phloem transports sugars and nutrients.

Phototropism is like a magnet because certain objects are
attracted to it, as a plant is attracted to the light.

Gravitropism is like an anchor holding a ship in place and
pushing down like gravity forces it to go down.

Joint is like the hinge of a gate because it attaches together
and allows for movement, much like the joints in the human
body.

Spinal Cord is like a cable because it transmits
telecommunication signals, as the spinal cord transmits certain feelings and
  movement commands.

Brain works as a computer because they both store information,
accomplish tasks, have memory, and process information.
